Thank you for attending and/or donating to TEAM ARNONE for the PurpleStride Philadelphia 2022 walk to raise funds and awareness for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.

Dear friends and family,

Thank you for attending and/or donating to TEAM ARNONE for the PurpleStride Philadelphia 2022 walk to raise funds and awareness for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.  With your help, TEAM ARNONE raised over $32,000 this year, making us the #1 Fundraising team for PurpleStride Philadelphia 2022! Since the first PurpleStride Philadelphia in 2007, and with this year’s donation, TEAM ARNONE will have donated over $240,000 to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.

Founded in 1999, the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) is a nationwide network of people dedicated to working together to advance research, support patients, and create hope for those affected by pancreatic cancer. This 4-star charity, which is the national organization creating hope in a comprehensive way through research, patient support, community outreach, and advocacy for a cure, raises money for direct private funding of research and advocates for more aggressive federal research funding of medical breakthroughs in prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of pancreatic cancer.

PanCAN is leading the way to increase the survival rate for this disease through bold initiatives such as The Vision of Progress: Double the Pancreatic Cancer Survival Rate by 2020. The Vision of Progress initiative started in 2011, when the 5-year survival rate for pancreatic cancer was just 6%, and although the initiative fell slightly short of its lofty goal, as of 2022 the 5-year survival rate is up to 11%! This goal was achieved by intensifying the efforts to heighten awareness, raising funds for comprehensive private research, and advocating for more federal research funding to advance early diagnostics and better treatments. For perspective, the 5-year survival rate was 3% in 1975, so the 5% increase that has been seen over the last decade has already surpassed the 3% increase seen over the prior 35 years.

TEAM ARNONE participates in PurpleStride every year in memory of Robert Arnone because the only way to defeat this horrible disease and make a difference is by joining the fight. Your donation will help fund research, provide support for patients and caregivers, and most importantly create hope!

For TEAM ARNONE, fundraising for PanCAN is a year-long event and not just our focus for a few months around the walk. If you would like to donate to our team to help us defeat this disease, we would be extraordinarily grateful; The link to the TEAM ARNONE page is below:

If you haven’t already done so, please sign up to walk or donate to a member on the TEAM ARNONE page:

Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing everyone next year for PurpleStride Philadelphia 2023!

With sincere appreciation,
TEAM ARNONE
