250-Ton Turn-Down Fixture for Heavy Industrial Equipment
Customer Challenge
A turbine manufacturer needed a fixture to safely rotate a 250-ton stator housing while staying within crane limits. Manual rigging increased downtime and risk.
ENSER’s Solution
ENSER created a hydraulic turn-down fixture built from high-strength, lightweight alloys. Drawing on experience from Below-the-Hook Lifting Devices and Engineering Services, the design achieved balanced rotation via synchronized hydraulic circuits. The solution met all ASME B30.20 safety standards.
Its control and balancing system informed the roller synchronization logic later used in ENSER’s Power Rollers for 300-Ton Generator.
Value Delivered
- Controlled rotation for extreme loads.
- Reduced crane time and operator exposure.
- Modular design adaptable to future equipment.
